Grapes, God’s Good: A Ritual of Colors and Sensations

Between play and tradition:
the grape harvest in the works of Incorpora

Salvatore Incorpora’s work “Grapes, God’s Goodness” masterfully captures the festive essence of the traditional grape harvest, an event that is transformed into a playful ritual for the youngest. Through this vibrant scene, Incorpora portrays barefoot children immersed in vats, crushing grapes with an enthusiasm that transforms the work into a celebration of life. Their arms outstretched toward the sky and their legs wrapped among the bunches of grapes represent an intimate embrace of nature, emphasizing the union between the human and the divine. Each sip of Petit Verdot ‘Sensi’ becomes a tribute to these deep roots, evoking a mosaic of smells, colors and flavors that only Sicily can offer.
